This is my first Mike Flanagan project and I think it absolutely delivers. I had no idea where the show was going and I was completely blindsided by so many different parts. I was engrossed the entire time. I know I saw people online making fun of the way Mike Flanagan writes dialogue and how there are so many long monologues but i don’t have a problem with it at all. I think all the dialogue felt very real and…

Pontypool 2008
This was one of the most engaging and unique movies I’ve ever seen. I loved the way that this film and the world builds. As someone trying to be a filmmaker I think this film is an incredible example of gripping your audience without having much of a budget. To tell a story with such harrowing and visceral imagery just through sound design and descriptions is truly an incredible achievement. The acting from everyone but especially Stephen McHattie is remarkable. I love this movie so much.

Godzilla × Kong: The New Empire 2024
Saw it a few days ago but never left my review. It is so much fun from the start to finish. I love how this came out around the same time as minus one because it perfectly showcases the two sides of Godzilla movies. Godzilla is such a visceral allegory for nuclear destruction but he also just fights a bunch of other monsters and has a fun time. I love being a Godzilla fan.
