  While everything stylistically is amazing, the movie itself left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. I can’t quite put my finger on how I feel, but at the same time I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. I’ve seen all of Eggers previous works, but this one might be my least favorite. With that saying that, the movie is still great and the performances were fantastic. Something still just didn’t connect with me, but I do plan on watching again in the future 100%.

  Can’t believe this was made in the 20s. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get into silent films. If you still can’t get into it, turn the movie volume off and watch one with a favorite album.
