I'm so glad I'm not in eighth grade anymore. This movie perfectly captures all the cringe and brings back memories from middle school. The movie makes you feel so invested in Kayla. You so desperately want to see her make some friends, or forget about that boy, etc; you rejoice when she does the right thing or something good happens to her, and you get so worried when she doesn't make a good decision. It's like you become her parent, but you can only observe. Luckily she has the best dad in the world, and he does everything he can for Kayla.
