any movie from my "hall of fame" list can be featured as a favorite film.
only a snob about horror films
It failed in every single way. A pathetic piece of shit, fuck you.
This is genuinely one of the most unique and impactful films that I have ever watched. It wasn't impactful in messaging or themes such as some of my other favorites like Mysterious Skin or Requiem for a Dream. It was impactful as an experience as an emotion.
Immersive is often a label used to describe this film. That is an understatement. This is a soul sucking watch; the viewer feels absolutely everything due to the nauseating forty minute handheld longshot,…
A masterclass in a political thriller with an ending that feels somewhat off-beat compared to the rest of the film. I didn't dislike the final reveal, but it did shift the film in a direction that didn't match the tone that had been set up through the rest of it. I liked the ideas explored by it, but the execution felt a little odd to me.
This film is for insecure people to feel smart by making it their favorite movie since it is "artsy" and "intelligent". It says all the same nihilistic and cynical shit that has been tired out for decades. Rick and Morty pretty much has the same thematic content so watch that instead, at least it's somewhat entertaining... This is pretentious garbage. Thank you Cormac McCarthy for absolutely nothing! The Road was my least favorite book of all time and now this shit based off your novels is one of my least favorite movies.
