Very well-crafted backstory and intrigue. I particularly appreciated and was impressed by the way they communicated certain details and explanations so indirectly - to me, one of the most magical cinematic tools, and my heart is happy when it is used well.
The film is not without its flaws though, a few of which I found particularly distracting. The cut to the past/reveal was frankly terrible, which is a shame. Using the change in perspective of all these past scenes…
