Sonic the Hedgehog 2 had a lot of jokes...yet not a single one landed for me. I found the movie incredibly un-funny. The CGI, while not terrible, could have been a lot better.
That being said, the movie was still somewhat entertaining, particularly with the introduction of Tails and Knuckles, which was a highlight for fans of the game.
Overall, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a mediocre watch and certainly not a comedic masterpiece. It is a fun ride though…
