  Heavily self-indulgent in a really satisfying way, it acts as a piece of Silva's own diaristic sketching and asks us to be a witness to his rants and ideations. there's something very cathartic about letting someone act this neurosis out in front of you. It's also pretty funny, especially in how relentlessly it mocks its bourgeois leads. Jordan Firstman doesnt hold back from the self-deprecation of his whole deal, they tear into him pretty heavily and he hams it up well (and looks hot doing it). Wackiest columbo episode i've seen!

  a distillation of apichatpong's study of lights, sounds, and destruction. he gives reverence to each light source in accordance to its own personality.
  for the better part of two decades my dad has maintained about 5 acres of native prairie around my parents' house, so playing with fire was something that i was able to do maybe quite a bit more than the usual kid growing up; this brings back fond memories of it.
