A Baker by name, but not by nature, Sean Baker gives us a half-baked character of Anora. Call her Ani, not Anora. Why? We never find out! She speaks Russian but doesn't want to. Why? Who knows; not the viewers! Does she really want to be married or does she just want money? If you wanted a well-rounded and engaging humanisation of a SW'ers, you came to the wrong movie.
