Crimson Tide 1995
Had so much fun watching this a week ago I decided to rewatch it with the wife. She was on the edge of her seat and had all kinds of thoughts about Captain Ramsay’s actions and consequences, or lack there of. She feels he got a slap on the wrist when, as Captain, he should have taken full responsibility for the incident. Anyhoo, she still says five out of five and loved the deep cast of familiar faces.

No Way Out 1987
Continuing the Hackman binge with this. I’ve known of its existence for decades but never pulled the trigger. I expected something a little more slickly made. It’s sloppily edited with a twist ending that comes too fast and I really wish the film had lived in that moment a bit more. There was all this building of tension and it really felt like a balloon popping at the end.

If These Walls Could Sing 2022
Enjoyable enough doc about the legendary studio. Nothing revelatory. A few bits of information as far as who played on what (Jimmy Page on Goldfinger for instance) that I probably should have known but didn’t. I would have liked more from those who worked there and maybe a little more about the technical side of things both of which were strengths of Dave Grohl’s similar Sound City documentary.
