  I really do have a soft spot for Alex Garland. I enjoyed the perspective of the conflict through journalists instead of soldiers. I loved Joel but didn’t really care for Lee. I was left wanting to know more about the conflict overall but at the same time appreciate the lack of explanation and the way the film immediately drops the viewer into the middle of this whole ordeal.
