Still deeply respect that the "villain" of a Disney-story is generational trauma. (And Dos Oruguitas simply is a piece of art.)

Buying the blu-ray was the excuse I needed to watch the show a third time...
I can't really tell what it is (well, the fantastic score, the art design, many of the characters and the themes about coming to terms with a teacher's leagcy within its student and opening oneself up to the task, as vaguely executed as they may be) but this show has really captured my heart.

That blue cup definitely stole the show! He has it in almost every scene and I grew quite attached to it. I'm certain it's a fleshed out character with a unique arc that reaches a satisfying and emotional conclusion!

Other than that, the film was fine. Taika's humour really is hit and miss these days, but I must admit: With the help of a hilarious watching experience with a friend in an otherwise empty cinema, we did have a great time and when it hits, it hits.

Having just returned from a wonderful trip to Disneyland, we had to start at the very beginning.

P.S. Coming right from this year's Oscars: Beautiful woman on a desperate quest to become the fairest of them all again (Demi Moore) after having been told by an odd fellow she's become redundant (Dennis Quaid) turns herself disfigured and dies after failing to kill her seemingly more stunning alternate (Margaret Qualley). It's The Substance, right?
