  Maybe it's because I grew up with stuff like "Total Recall," but I enjoyed this one way more than I thought I would. "A bartender searching for his missing girlfriend who then ends up interfering with AWOL American soldiers and hacker swap meets and then he beats up guys with the bedpost he carved for said girlfriend and oh yeah it's set in 'Blade Runner' Berlin so there's also robot strippers" is one of the most 80s action film plots I've encountered in some time.

  "The kid in this movie will be grown up before we ever get to see this" was my original review. But now that it's finally out, I can tell you this is nice, creepy autumnal wendigo viewing, with effective commentary on both the nature of abuse and the abuse of nature without being campy or preachy. I hate the phrase "worth the wait," but definitely worth the watch.
