  Whilst I loved Daniel Craig’s camply endearing attempts at flirting and adored the soundtrack, the whole thing kind of fell flat for me. Far too much CGI which made the people and city far too clean for the dirty rough-and-readiness of a William Burroughs novel. The painterly / Edward Hopper style cinematography was made for social media, whilst the Ayahuasca “bodies melt together” sequence already looks aged.  I was irritated by the self-consciousness with which the film considered itself to be doing something radical. Also - can people stop making 3 hour long movies please.
