  Excellent excellent excellent. The trend of impressive, intelligent horror films from A24 seems to continue with Talk To Me. While its runtime is rather short, it grips the audience from start to finish and not once does it hold back.

  The premise of a spooky, mysterious object that is not what it seems is familiar. However, some clichés are there for a reason, because the premise just works! With the right execution, that is. Talk To Me manages to craft…

  Empire Records 1995

  A feel-good fight against the Man. Evokes some Breakfast Club, but instead, it's a lot more fun and frankly I liked it way better.

  Empire Records obviously isn't some symbolic story of regular Joes versus the great big capitalist machine, (it's way too busy having dumb fun) but hints of this story as background make for a very engaging and cultivating foundation for an outrageously entertaining ruckus.

  Add "record store employee in the 90s with a bunch of hot people as coworkers" to the list of dream jobs I'll never get!!
