I Had no business watching this film at Seven years old. Since then, I’ve probably watched it over 1,000 times and can actually recite the lines word for word. it’s just one of those late 99-00’s nostalgic films for me, like players club & Baby boy. The acting was great and the comedy was superb. Vivica ate and left not one crumb. Also, shoutout Gabrielle Union, Wendy Robinson, Monique, and Tamala Jones—all very talented Black actresses. Oh! And my man my man my Man, Morris Chestnut —in his PRIME! Beautiful performance per usual. This is a film that will forever be in my collection.

Forrest Gump 1994
Sometimes my anxiety makes me want to take off running like Forrest did, but I’d get tired after just one mile, turn around and go right back home. Night on Earth 1991
This movie was interesting, good anthology film and perfect for my ADHD brain. The performances were impressive, Helmut and YoYo were my favorites. Beautiful cinematography, the juxtaposition of quiet, introspective moments in the taxi cabs against the hustle and bustle of the city scapes was brilliant, perfect contrast. Overall, I appreciate the layers and diversity of this film. Kudos to the director.
