Once Upon a Time in America 1984
Call me crazy but De Niro fell a little flat in this one, especially considering his filmography at this point. Also, I feel like the plot could have benefitted from a chief antagonist. I have appreciation for the internal conflict the lead struggles with throughout but that wasn’t introspective enough for me to really feel moved by. Cinematography and production both top notch tho

I’m actually pretty conflicted on this one.
I’d rate it low for a variety of reasons but then in other instances I actually really quite enjoyed how absurd this was. Type of story that had you cringing everytime the lead made a horrible decision which happened pretty much every scene.
He does such ridiculous, egregious shit that your ability to suspend disbelief starts to reach its limit but then you see Lt. word smith his way out of calamity after calamity until even his skillset was over its skis.
Liked the depiction of degenerate gambling.
