Mediocre acting and predictable (as expected), but couldn't get enough of the Italian vibes
“Rachel (Brittany Snow) is a single parent living paycheck to paycheck. When an unexpected pregnancy threatens to unravel her already precarious position, she's forced to cross state lines in search of an abortion.” SUPER impressive short. Some details were left out but I don’t think those were necessary for the story. The combination of an amazing actress, relevant topic, heavy storyline, mother-daughter roadtrip, unexpected twist made me just feel a lot of different emotions. This may have been my favorite 2024 nominee.

Connor: “I think the most powerful thing about the movie is how “relatively easy” it is to watch when you know what’s going on in the background just behind the camp wall. There’s no brutal scenes that you need to look away during, yet in its own way that makes you more uncomfortable. It feels like the scenes should be more traumatic, yet they aren’t.
