  This movie made me extremely uncomfortable. Perhaps some lingering jealousy towards the girls who felt pain and then acted on it instead of harboring it all inside like I did at 13. Also I think I have motion sickness from the way the camera moved… Obsessed with the clothes and the music tho

  This should have been a short film, would have been far more effective because it’s such an interesting concept but I felt that it fell extremely flat in its execution. The framing of the shots isn’t even the issue, I understood that: focusing on the auditory elements to let the audience’s minds do the imaging of what horrible things could be happening or lurking around in the dark. But the movie’s way too fuckin long and honestly boring at times.…

  Visually stunning. I was entranced by every shot. However… I seem to be missing the emotional connection with this movie that everyone else seems to be having here. Having a difficult time with the ending and with Travis. To me his actions seem incredibly selfish—basically kidnapping Hunter and then dumping him on Jane without warning and with proper means to support him. I feel like the truly kind thing for him to do would have been to let Hunter stay where he would be loved, safe, and stable. Jane knew that, that’s why she left them with aunt and uncle in the first place. Idk…
