  Saw this on a whim in 2020 with my mother who was iffy about the subtitles (she’s Korean…). Forever grateful I watched, perhaps the single most influential movie that got me into film in general. Seeing Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17”inspired me to log this shii, even though I saw it so long ago. It’s just that good. 5 years later, and I still remember the dread I felt during that stair scene. Jeez. Strangely have never rewatched. I’ll get on that.

  Incredibly witty with superb cinematography and visuals. Oscar-worthy acting performance from Robert Pattinson I dare say. Actually, the whole cast was amazing. Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collete were perfectly, satirically insufferable, and Naomi Ackie and Steven Yeun delivered exactly what they needed to. Definitely more mainstream than Parasite, but still quite cohesive and just so fun. Bong Joon Ho does not miss!
