August: Osage County 2013
At the beginning, the movie caught my attention. This movie had a FANTASTIC cast and my gosh… the RANGE Meryl Streep can do with her acting still continues to amaze me.
BUT. This whole movie is one messed up family reunion and things just seemed to get progressively worse and worse as the plot unraveled. And in the end… I conclude that I did not like it.

Honestly, felt like I was in a strange dream the whole time. Made my mind feel all jumbled and questioning.
However, I can appreciate what I think might be the larger message: there is no such thing as a perfect life or perfect love story. And then I think… it would be wrong of us to assume that we can protect ourselves from the pain that love might bring.
