  watched this on a friday night so I can read the sontag essay on it. Possibly the most pretentious things i've ever done. I don't like the man academia is making me become 
  
  There's truth in everything, even error. 
  It's true. That's what France didn't see in the 17th century. They thought one could avoid errors and lies, that one could live directly in the truth. I don't think it's possible. Hence Kant, Hegel, German philosophy: to bring us back to life and make us see that we must pass through error to arrive at truth.
