  “you ever see a bloke with a foot up his nose?”

  Peter Weir’s debut feature, restored in 4K glory (thank you NFSA!) and screened to bustling MIFF audience at The Capitol. Lots of weird bits and some casual aussie racism, paired with beautiful cinematography and a booming soundtrack that gives insight into the completely bonkers nature of small Australian country towns in the 70s (particularly to those that may not have been born yet).
