i like how the series were at the beginning, it was very different than usual historical series/films. it was more personal (i dont mind if it wasn’t 100% realistic) but later turned into a quick history lesson where they tried to cramp it all together even though it was very fleshed out for an 8 episode series.
the series began to feel like they were losing the interesting and different approach and began to feel like most historical projects. not that i dislike that but it felt a little disappointing that they starting drift away from that interesting and personal approach.
