  I Blame Society 2020

  I Blame Society was like a breath of fresh air. This low budget satirical dark comedy is funny, creative, self aware, and honest. It’s an instant favourite. 

  I find it challenging to get behind high budget hollywood satire films, because half the time it’s only partially satire, and the rest of the movie is trying to get those who actually feel that way to like the movie. Movies like I Care A Lot come to mind, where the message seems lost and fabricated, aren’t enjoyable to me. But this movie is clear, doesn’t take itself too seriously, and just all around interesting.

  Halston 2021

  Ryan Murphy projects have a certain stigma around them that I don’t quite understand. I love his work, despite the reoccurring flaws they might have, and Halston is not an exception to that. It’s stylish and intentional, and whether or not it rings true to Halston’s life, you have to admit that it’s entertaining.

Following
