They really could’ve taken it a step further with the mother. The daughter questions it too quick and jumps through hoops to find out about what she’s taking. As the audience, we’re supposed to believe everything the mother says, have us brainwashed like the daughter, but it wasn’t believable. There was parts of the film where it felt like it was already over, and everything else after that just seemed to be added as an extra.
It was very predictable. You had Sarah Paulson, wasted talent.

Was intrigued by the concept of horror surrounding K-pop artists since media doesn’t seem to cover it, and I surprisingly enjoyed this film. The things aspiring artists will do to get far ahead, to be the main vocal — center — and have it all go down the drain.
The true ghost wasn’t the trainee who sang the song and the true curse wasn’t the song itself. The curse was fame and the ghost was the person you used to be.
