i had to rewatch this film.
a film, simply, about a man and his broken heart. how can no one else speak to it quite with the same brilliance of this film? it is deeply poetic, yet these characters are so understandable, flawed and true.
i cried the last time i watched travis speak his truth, back turned, everything to bear. i cried this time too. should a day come where I am too ashamed to admit that, perhaps shall be the day i venture for four years in the vast desert x

to keep it brief; it's a genuinely terrible film.
horrible casting and the most insufferable protagonist I've seen in quite a while. as tends to be with awful films, there is a specific moment where I legitimately cackled out loud, which may or may not have something to do with the title.
