Piece By Piece 2024
One of the most creative and effective biopics of all time. Pharrell gets to tell his story, we get all the bangers, celebrity cameos to give their perspective and the legos allow them to take creative leaps that wouldn’t be as effective if it were live action. All in all it’s a documentary, memoir and jukebox film all wrapped into one biopic! Really hope this gets a Blu-ray release with bts footage and interviews they used for the film.

Watching this reminded me of when old heads told me that 80s was the gold age of rap and the first song I pulled up was The Breaks by Kurtis Blow. Lol no disrespect cause obviously influence and laying the foundation of the genre is something Kurtis Blow and TTCSM did at the highest level but The Brakes is still The Brakes like TTCSM is TTCSM. Both are really important but I don’t think I’ll revist TTCSM just like I don’t revisit The Brakes.
