    This made me realize I can suspend disbelief but not my brain cells...

    The premise is not explored in any meaningful way. Everything is static. Every character is paper thin. No twist, no subversion, no character development at ALL -- across a span of FIVE (5) years! Static for FIVE (5) years?

    I'd imagine facing death would be a natural catalyst for growth and change. I'd think the austere life onboard would bring out different sides of people. But not…
