Holy fuck, what an incredible film. I haven’t been this invested in a film in such a long time. The way Denis can handle the scale of this story but also provide some fantastic interpersonal relationships is nothing short of amazing. As everybody has already mentioned, the visuals from the cinematography and VFX was out of this world. Will easily be catching this as many times as I can in the theatre before it’s too late.

Believe the hype because this left me utterly speechless. This is by far one of my favourite cinema experiences from the impeccable sound design and score (Ludwig put his entire soul into this) to the mesmerising visuals (I’m floored on how Nolan displayed some of these visuals on film).

The way Nolan portrays different time periods of the story is so brilliantly well done. Every scene in this movie has meaning with in my personal opinion the best script he…

Dopesick is genuinely one of the best limited series I’ve ever seen, right up there with Band of Brothers and Chernobyl. The entire cast delivers outstanding performances, with Michael Keaton, Kaitlyn Dever, Will Poulter, and Peter Sarsgaard standing out in particular. The writing is exceptional, tackling heavy subject matter while seamlessly weaving between different periods of the opioid crisis in a way that feels both authentic and grounded. The pacing is excellent, making me appreciate limited series even more—some stories…

Honestly left this a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s extremely fun and has some fantastic sci fi moments but it didn’t really grab me. Mark Ruffulo and Toni Collette’s characters were way too over the top, legit felt like they were part of an SNL skit. Robert Pattinson’s performance though was brilliant and at points I forgot I was watching the same actor. Yeh idk, might need to sit on this one for a bit but just feel like it could’ve been better.

As soon as I saw the trailer I was hooked and Fede didn’t disappoint. The visuals alongside the practical effects were incredible and I really hope Fede does more in the sci fi genre, because goddamn he has the juice. The sound design was also fantastic and made the experience in the theatre really immersive. I can definitely see people being split on the third act but I fucking loved it.
