  “we coulda had a real nice life together” REALLLL. loved this so much, watched with my wifey abbs! seeing them maintain their secret relationship throughout the years was torture and i felt so bad for their wives. i loved the realism when portraying the shame that comes with discovering sexuality, especially in the 60s in deep south america. RIP jack twist you would’ve loved pride and gay bars

  since studying sociology this movie means so much more to me. anyone can be intelligent and memories content but the willingness to utilise it is so important. robin williams is so good for this role as a father figure and as someone who believes in a scared teenage boy. growing up in poverty can clearly make people feel as if education and stable relationships aren’t for them but it takes others to believe in them for success to be seen. love this film so so much
