Born in Flames 1983
Really interesting to see a film like this take on a more realistic dystopia and try to imagine what a revolution would look like that way, rather than imagine far off or more extreme futures. This close dystopia feels much closer, and useful in that sense of trying to understand how mobilization might look like.

Getting Straight 1970
The movie is really funny, and a bit ridiculous at times, but I think that's what made the explosion during Harry's dissertation to be the culmination of that ridiculous energy, expressed through his lack of care about whether or not Fitzgerald was gay or not because he's literally asking "why does this matter?". The ridiculousness, once exploded in the room, literally explodes in tandem outside and at the end, as they have sex during the riot.
