Joker 2 works as a startling reminder that not all success stories require a sequel. However, this is in no way a jab at the movie itself. The character of Arthur and Lee both work individually so well and gives Arthur, a new character motivation. But there seemed to be a lack of clarity as to why Gaga's character was there other than for the musical numbers.

While the idea of the movie is really good and it gives a whole new meaning to "love is blind", the acting felt very forced in a lot of scenes. The final portion of the movie was really good with a lot of twists that worked really well with the story and might blind most to the mess made before it.

Black Adam feels like a mixture of multiple superhero movies compiled together. DC always attempts to make the movies more like Marvel because the audience can't handle anything too realistic (as much it can be in a comic book adaptation). This results in Black Adam being a cheesy 101 variation of a superhero movie with a "hero" who helps out the "damsel-in-distress" from the "villain" that has an object of immense power.
