This movie has some good acting, cool shots, and I appreciate its total focus on its plot. But, I didn’t really enjoy the plot’s development because the movie didn’t make me care about the characters I needed to for the plot to have weight.

The Terminator 1984
The Terminator (Arnold) is cool and some sequences are awesome, but the movie as a whole did not really move or interest me. I have to imagine they thought of the Terminator (character) and reverse engineered a plot that would make sense for that character to be in.
Maybe it’s aged poorly or I should try it again some other time, but I was bummed that this felt flat.

Leatherface is just generational talent here. His approach is nothing short of workmanlike. Reminiscent of prime Tim Duncan, no thrills, no frills, but if you come into this house, I’m knocking your shit over.
The two fellas he’s working with are really holding him back. The young guy is in arm’s length of our protagonist at the end, and doesn’t seal the deal. Very Ben Simmons in the Hawks series. Do you even want to get this done?

You might ask “who’s watching Birdman in 2023?” I feel lke this movie won a bunch of awards and people haven’t talked about it much since. This movie has a very unique tone, and the director did a great job of grabbing my interest while making me feel very uneasy.
