I had very low expectations of this movie and was surprisingly entertained. The lead actors were charming and there were even a few chuckles to be had. “I was made for lovin you” made for a total banger of an ending song.

Peak 80’s nostalgia for me. I remember everything about this movie was the coolest; the shoulder pads, the soundtrack, the sunglasses. So fun to watch it again! The grandpa has the best line at the very end of the movie.

Glad to have watched this one again. It *almost* makes me wish I lived in the 1860’s. Love the costumes and sets and of course Wynona Rider. One thing that struck me this time was how much older Fredrich was than Jo. He could’ve been her dad?!?
