One of the better 2000s horror reboots, this rendition sacrifices the dark humor of the original Texas Chainsaw movies to ramp up the brutality ten fold. While I really loved the original depiction of Leatherface as a abused & mentally stunted boy who’s moreso used as a tool for his family’s depravity, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t also love the more darker & serious depiction of leatherface in this adaptation.
