I really had a good time in the theatre for this, some little boy joy when Heigh-Ho came on for sure. I thought the heart of the story was there with some much needed updates.

A few beautiful sets and I thought the musical pieces fit so well into the flow. Some really clever writing injecting adult humor (and call outs of societal issues) into little quips or mutterings that weren’t center of a scene.

Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot played well off each other and both had a few really great scenes/musical numbers.

This was a nice little short documentary. The story is definitely more interesting than the documentary was well made. Orin O’ Brien seems to be a worthy legend with an interesting worldview given her upbringing.

I’m never a big fan when the filmmaker puts themselves in so much of the film, even if it’s a family connection.

Some of the interview opportunities just seemed unnatural. I’m surprised this won the Oscar, hard not to compare it to the masterpiece that won last year “The Last Repair Shop.”

This was simply a Sci-Fi masterpiece. All the narrative and world building done in the first film led to a truly captivating story in many aspects.

To tell such a complex story in a beautifully bleak and artistic way, while allowing the audience ample opportunity to understand all the machinations, is a true cinematic feat. Denis Villeneuve is a master.

All incredible: The use of scale and light, the stunning cinematography, the intensity of sound (making this TRULY worth a…

A brilliant and unique look into issues of unfairness between social classes, how thoughts on death can effect how we live and problems with how many of us rely on social media/other people for validation. And all of that is done in a subtle way within a complex and never dull story.

Sebastián Silva made so many incredible choices. The setting, pacing, plot twists and boldness in messaging.

Rarely have I seen someone as willing as Jordan Firstman to put…
