  It’s difficult to watch this in 2024 without constantly casting it against a world that it both foresaw and shaped. I couldn’t stop picturing the lightbulb going off in Sam Altman’s head during the AI sex scenes, and all the dominos that came after. In that context, the movie somehow feels both unnervingly prescient and frustratingly naive.
