Paddy’s Day weekend rewatch - still exceptionally powerful though the darkness of it can overwhelm you. It’s worth it just to see Brendan and Colin together

Keaton is absolutely killing it at this point of his career revival and Offerman and Tha Gawd John Carroll Lynch are great as the McDonald brothers. The whole film has a somewhat ominous undertone as it’s fairly plain to see from the jump that Kroc will still stop at nothing to build his empire.

Extremely well done. Fiennes is in incredible form as always - Berger does a masterful job with the cutting and music and the whole thing looks gorgeous. Not its primary function but it does a decent job of being a meditation on the present mother church with the classic ideological stand-ins.

I think the hallmark of a good thriller is how long it keeps you guessing and how many scenarios it creates in your mind and this had me guessing and still had multiple theories at play right up until the very end.

This was very very good - Kieran Culkin hits a lot of Roman-esque beats but is raw and emotional and the performance stands apart.

Also having known and met Eloge Butera through his work at Global Affairs Canada I was blown away and delighted his life and background was written onto the screen and portrayed by the great Kurt Egyiawan.

Great film - beautiful, funny and indeed painful.
