    Charmingly shite.

S.Bullock carries this film, the dialogue is terrible and plot is very predictable. Luckily with the passage of time and ubiquity of ‘the net’ I found this film brilliantly quaint. Hacker films rock, watch them all.

    Everything is computer.

Simple, effective, for me the pacing was a little one speed. A great primer for the racing season ahead  nonetheless.

Bravado, you can’t pin it down.

Charlie Bronson, a very troubled geeza.
Raises questions of the so called rehabilitation of inmates in Her Majesty’s pleasure.

    Worth another viewing.

We follow a PTSD ridden ex-racing driver come driving instructor, Shimao, around the gentle curves of the expressways of 70’s Japan. The blasting jazz soundtrack, over roaring engines and squealing tires.

Frequent flashbacks to a fatal Macau GP explain our protagonist’s vacant and subdued demeanour.

    Hairpin Circus:
Jazz cigarettes, model airplanes, leaving your wife and new-born child to go street racing…
The yellow Toyota 2000GT, the lighting, moody. Wow.
