Probably would’ve enjoyed more if it wasn’t written by Paul Schrader
Beautifully shot and acted. Buuuuut could not stop thinking of the film as just a rewrite of Taxi Driver. Can Schrader write anything other than ill-radicalized-military man and young-blonde-2D love interest?? “the world is f*cked nevermind a young hottie will give my life purpose” is kinda old (to be fair i’ve only seen the two films of his)
