Halloween II 1981
John Carpenter's Halloween hit the nail on the head in creating an iconic horror character with Michael Myer's and making him scary with the choices in cinematography and performances. The 1981 follow up lacks much of the tension of the original, Myers is no longer terrifying but plain and the relatively short film is for the most part just boring to watch.
