A beautiful, unique and tender experience with stunning cinematography and use of music. Obsessed with all her dresses and hair and makeup. Also loved to see mundane scenes of regular people living in Hongkong in the 1960s. It’s a perfect display of passion, love and loneliness. Everything was said in the spaces in between the actual dialogue.

Kids 1995
While I enjoyed the cinematography and the authentic depiction of the 90s in New York City from the perspective of „kids”, this movie was definitely just as much, probably even more, disturbing to me. Especially as a woman watching, the way the boys talked about girls as well as their actions towards them was truly disgusting and horrifying. To a certain extent I do like real raw conversations, but imagining that this is the way young boys talk and act…
