Civil War 2024
Just as harrowing as it is expertly crafted - both a horrifying glimpse at what an ever more partisan future could be for the US, and an inciteful commentary into the importance of photo journalism (or any journalism) and the role they play (and how they play it).
A spectacular film, at a very poignant time, but don’t expect to come out cheery, you might need to watch a nice Disney classic after just to cheer yourself up….

Dev Patel smashes it out the park with this directorial debut. It’s easy to describe it using films like John Wick and The Raid, but despite the visceral violence and compellingly choreographed martial arts, it feels a disservice to do that because it truly has its own style and voice.
