Bong Joon Ho is unlike any director I've ever watched before in the way he captures sensorial experiences in a movie. What impressed me most in the first 2/3 or so was the absolute perfection of the cinematography, the sound, the music, the lighting. And even in a more meta sense, the ways in which I as a viewer could so easily picture what the characters were experiencing- through food, through sunlight, through smells. Wow.

I really like the idea of a saw premise in a short film! Crazy to think that this little guy spawned 10+ movies, games, and a massive fanbase.
I think it's so good, especially for the budget. The performance from Whannell, the concise plotting, the atmosphere, and the genuine tension here makes it a really solid watch.
