This is possibly the lowest point in William Friedkin's directorial career, a flag-waving film that bends over backwards attempting to convince the viewer that massacring civilians is sometimes okay.
I haven't seen the film in years, but it's the first one that came to mind when I read about the Trump administration attacking the Houthis, killing civilians. I hope, although perhaps in vain, that enough Americans recognize the transparent lie in the term "airstrike": no matter how one attempts to dress it up and make it pretty, an airstrike on non-combatants is always -- I can't stress this enough, ALWAYS -- an act of terrorism.
