My Favourite Cake 2024
So beautifully shot, a movie discussing topics many do not dare to discuss. A movie that highlights the often neglected elderly life, journey to happiness in a repressive environment, and the life-long change internally and externally of oneself. It made me smile and tear up. While the regime critique is not the loudest part of the movie, the rich Iranian culture and some of the devastating effects of the Iranian regime are reflected through the life of two lonely individuals.…

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
Definitely one of the best new movies with queer/ trans undertones. At times the metaphor is not in the forefront which perhaps is best as it allows the audience to build bridges with their own life and experience. It leave a lot of space for thought and contemplation as well as some gaps to be filled out by the audience.
