The Menu 2022
A scathing critique of foodie culture. Somehow this movie pulls off being both a comedy and a thriller which is really interesting to see. I also enjoyed how it went deeper than your classic “eat the rich” because Slowik and his chefs also realize that they are part of the problem through their perpetuation of exclusiveness and almost mystique of the restaurant. I also love everything Anya Taylor-Joy is in- she brings so much to a role and is fantastic in all her roles.
