I only watched this for Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, and they absolutely killed it.

Transformers One 2024
The trailers did this movie so dirty. It was a great time, I only have a few complaints. I felt the first half could've done more with Megatron or the world building. Also bumblebee and Elita were lacking depth the whole movie unfortunately which is a shame. Last complaint is that it was bit cliche and predictable but it didn't really bother me just something I noticed.
Once we get to the 2nd half, it's awesome. Steve Buscemi as Starscream…

The way this movie expands upon Ceasars character is incredible. It's fascinating to watch Ceasar realize apes and humans aren't as different as he thought. I really love how well thought out Ceasar's growth is in all of these Apes movies. Can apes and humans work together despite their misguided views about each other? Maybe one day, but not in this trilogy sadly. The end is truly heartbreaking but throughout the movie we see it's not impossible for apes and humans to coexist and that gets me excited to see more of these.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011
This movie does a great job with pacing which is important for a slow burn like this. You really feel the weight of the emotions Ceasar is experiencing. The progression of Ceasar's Intelligence and his perspective is one of my favorite things about this trilogy.
