    I like the premise but it was too pretentiously dragged out. For me, wasted potential.

    The first third I have to root for the bad guy, the second third I have to endure the unbearable acting of M. Night Shyamalan's daughter Saleka and in the grand finale I have to root for the bad guy to get caught but Shyamalan Style.

    Just why?

    But I liked Josh Hartnett's performance.

    is an abysmally dark, nihilistic neo-noir detective story that is second to none in terms of production. No over-the-top action nonsense but an excellent mobster crime thriller full of pyschological intimidation.

    Despite an attention span shaped by the Internet, it keeps you riveted to the cinema seat over its running time of about 3 hours. Speaking of which, go see it in a cinema if you have the opportunity.

    "You're a Hopeless optimist, you should be cured of that."

    After this I needed to watch "Schindler´s List" to calm down.

    I allways tought "Full Metal Jacket" was the prime example of an anti war movie. Damn I was wrong. The Movie isn´t glorifying the "Adventure" of War at any second.
