Annihilation 2018
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I love this film.
Brilliantly displays themes of loss, grief, our own mortality and fragility and fear surrounding that, self-destruction (really well symbolised near the end when she’s suffocating under her own clone’s weight)
It also really gets me thinking of what would all life look like if it was eventually completely merged together by the shimmer , it’s kind of one of those impossible thoughts like imagining the size of the universe or something , major crucible vibes from…
